After the industrial action was announced by one of the trade unions, the Postal Workers Trade Union (SPD), to take place on 11 November 2019, Pošta Slovenije would like to inform you that despite our best efforts to reach an agreement, no agreement was concluded, unfortunately, and therefore the scheduled strike will commence on Monday, 11 November 2019, until the situation is resolved. The delivery of all legally prescribed postal items must be provided during the period of the industrial action. Pošta Slovenije entered into an agreement with the Postal Workers Trade Union on the provision of an additional scope of services (in addition to the legal minimum scope) that the employees who will join the strike will be required to provide.The delivery of all letter mail and parcels up to 10 kg (excluding additional services) will therefore be provided during the strike. The delivery of all international postal items and all urgent mail (express mail, UPS items, telegrams, etc.) will also be provided during the strike. Customers will still be able to pick up all the postal items that were accepted before the start of the strike or during the strike, and for which addressees were given a notice of arrival for the shipment.We expect the delivery of unaddressed direct mail, morning delivery of newspapers, delivery of parcels over 10 kg, parcel items with additional services, logistical packages and the collection of items at the premises of customers to be disrupted during the strike.For current information on the developments of the strike, please visit our website www.posta.si.
