Tomaž Kokot, General Manager
He was born in 1988. He graduated and obtained his master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor, where he has worked since 2010, engaged in scientific research with a focus on a comparative analysis of the prices of five hundred services in Slovenia and Italy. He is now continuing his studies in the doctoral programme of project management at Alma Mater Europaea - ECM, where he is also a lecturer. Since 2016 he has been registered as a researcher at the Slovenian Research Agency.
He started his career as a sole proprietor and at the end of 2013 became executive director of a software development and business transformation company, which among other areas was active in planning data analyses, desktop applications and online solutions for large companies. In 2015, the newspaper Delo named him an entrepreneurial star in the scope of its project LifeSal.
In 2020 he became an internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001. Since 2020 he has been accredited as a supervisor in Slovenian Sovereign Holding.
He serves as Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of the company Borzen. In 2017 he was appointed chairman of the Šmarje pri Jelšah Retirement Home institute, and has previously also been the chairman of the Dom dr. Jožeta Potrča Poljčane institute.
The Management Board of Slovenian Sovereign Holding appointed him a member of the Supervisory Board of Pošta Slovenije, and at the founding meeting of the Supervisory Board on 17 March 2021 he was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pošta Slovenije.
On 1 April 2021 he assumed the position of General Manager Ad Interim of Pošta Slovenije. Pošta Slovenije's Supervisory Board appointed him to serve as a new Pošta Slovenije's General Manager on 1 February 2022 to a five-year term of office. He began his term on the same day.
