Pošta Slovenije's Executive Management has four members. It is represented by General Manager, two members of Executive Management, and another member of Executive Management - the Workers' Director. Executive Management members are appointed and recalled by the company's Supervisory Board. Members of the Executive Management serve a five-year term of office and may be re-appointed.

Marko Cegnar,
General Manager

Marko Cegnar has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of logistics, sales, strategic guidance and crisis management. He has accumulated his experience principally in international companies, where he performed various management and leadership functions, the most prominent of which are presented below.

He began his career at DHL Express d.o.o., where he advanced to the position of sales director responsible for the whole of Slovenia. At the company ISS Servissystem d.o.o. he worked as the company secretary and director of development and service activities. He was also sales director at ITG Tobačna Grosist d.o.o., where he was actively involved in the reorganisation of the company and optimisation of processes. He was employed as commercial director at Orbico d.o.o. and DHL logistika d.o.o., in the latter company holding responsibility for sales, procurement and marketing. At Intereuropa d.d. he served as a member of the management board and later as chairman of the board. Prior to his arrival at Pošta Slovenije he was the managing director of Marina Portorož, d.d.

He is the recipient of the professional award Logistics Officer of 2021, presented to him by the Slovenian Logistics Association.

He has been the General Manager of Pošta Slovenije since November 2022. He is guiding the Pošta Slovenije Group towards improving the efficiency of operations and services. Together with his core team and employees he is working to secure continued growth and development, principally in the area of parcel and logistics services, digitalisation of operations and a focus on customers, with the aim of ensuring the highest standards of quality. At the same time he is aware of the importance of good cooperation with the major stakeholders – employees in the Pošta Slovenije Group, with whom he wishes through continuous dialogue to attain the set business goals, where special emphasis is placed on sustainable development.

Marko Cegnar, General Manager

Mag. Karmen Lebe Grajf, Executive Management member

Karmen Lebe Grajf graduated at the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Economics and Business, where she received the academic title Master of Science in Economics.

She began her career in 1991 working for the then PTT Maribor. She has 30 years of experience in the postal sector, mostly in management and senior managerial positions at Pošta Slovenije. She was also the Head of Postal Operations at the Maribor BU, head of Invoicing and Petty Cash Operations and Cash Transactions Department within the Postal Operations Sector, the director of the Postal Operations Sector, director of the Logistics Sector and executive management adviser. Before being appointed a member of Executive Management she was also an assistant to Executive Management. She has experience particularly in the organisation of work and postal operations technology at Pošta Slovenije, process management and postal sector regulation, and in recent years also in social dialogue. She was employed for a while at the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS) as head of the Price Regulation and Market Sector.

From 1999 to 2006 she was also a lecturer at the School Centre for Postal Services, Economics and Telecommunications in Ljubljana. Since 1991 she has also been a member of the Pošta Maribor Cultural and Arts Society (CAS), which is one of the oldest cultural societies in the region that has been operating continuously since 1948. Since 2006 she has also held the position of president of this society and since 2018 also the chair of the supervisory board of the Maribor Cultural Society Association.

Pošta Slovenije's Supervisory Board appointed her to serve as a new member of its Executive Management on 14 October 2021 to a five-year term of office. She began her term on 18 October 2021. As a member of the Executive Management she is responsible for logistics, purchasing and real estate, and for the integration process between Pošta Slovenije and Intereuropa.

Janez Zidar, member of Executive Management

Sebastijan Gostenčnik, Executive Management member

He was born in 1974. He received a degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor. He began his career at MLM Storitve d.o.o. and MLM d.d. as Head of Controlling, where he worked for 15 years. In 2016 he joined Pošta Slovenije as an accounting and finances specialist. In 2020 he became the Director of Controlling and Director of Finances and Accounting.

During his career he has faced various corporate challenges. The experience gained at MLM d.d., once the largest production company in Maribor, and Pošta Slovenije, one of the largest service-sector firms in Slovenia, have provided him with the required knowledge, skills and qualities, such as leadership and organisational skills, communication skills, analytical thinking, accuracy and team work.

Pošta Slovenije's Supervisory Board appointed him to serve as a new member of its Executive Management on 10 September 2021 to a two-year term of office. He began his term on 16 September 2021. 

Sebastijan Gostečnik, Executive Management member

Janez Zidar, Executive Management member – Workers’ Director

Born in Ljubljana in 1971. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, he continued his studies at the University of Liverpool, where he received the title Master of Science. He began his career in 1993 at Emona Obala Koper, where he remained for eight years holding various positions.

Over the next period he held managerial positions at different companies and headed a private company for business consultancy. In 2011 he took over the management of the Slovenian fund for promoting the employment of disabled persons. During this period he was in charge of managing a public finance fund, business rehabilitation and of the preparation and execution of the merger with Javni jamstveni, preživninski in invalidski sklad Republike Slovenije (Public Guarantee, Maintenance and Disability Fund of the Republic of Slovenia). In 2015 he was involved in the establishment of IPPS d.o.o. (Invalidsko Podjetje Pošte Slovenije) and later took over as the Managing Director of IPPS. In seven years of operations IPPS grew into the fifth largest sheltered company for disabled persons in Slovenia and one of the most successful and innovative companies within the Pošta Slovenije Group.

He was awarded certification by the Slovenian Directors’ Association and passed the exams for lead assessor according to the requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards. At the request of the Works Council he was appointed to serve as member of Pošta Slovenije’s Executive Management – Workers’ Director by Pošta Slovenije’s Supervisory Board in June 2022. Began his term of office on 1 September 2022.
