Pošta Slovenije's management has three members, including General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Member of Management. The management is appointed and dismissed by the Supervisory Board of the company for a period of five years, with the possibility of being reappointed several times.
Boris Novak, MSc, General Manager
Boris Novak was born in 1963. He received his degree from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. He completed his master’s studies alongside his work and received the title Master of Science from the Graduate School of Government and European Studies, where he is also enrolled in a post-graduate doctoral programme.
His professional career began in 1983, when he began working in different organisational units of the Police. In 2004 he became an Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia, after which he served as Assistant to the Director of the Criminal Police Directorate in the General Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia. In 2006, he was employed as a consultant to the Director of Pošta Slovenije’s subsidiary EPPS d.o.o., and later became consultant to the management of Pošta Slovenije for complex legal issues in the areas of postal regulation, the protection of competition, and safety. In 2008, he established the Sector for Corporate Security and Supervision at Pošta Slovenije and became the Sector’s Director; at the end of 2011, he continued his work in the position of consultant to the management of Pošta Slovenije.
He has served as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of ČZP Večer d.d., Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of Dravske elektrarne d.o.o. and Deputy Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of Pošta Slovenije’s subsidiary EPPS d.o.o. He is currently Member of the Supervisory Board of PBS d.d. and Member of the Supervisory Board of Športna loterija d.d.
On 15 May 2012, the Supervisory Board of Pošta Slovenije named him General Manager of Pošta Slovenije for the next five-year period. His five-year term commenced today.
Andrej Rihter, MSc, Member of Management
Andrej Rihter was born in 1970. He graduated from the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport of the University of Ljubljana, where he then completed a Master’s degree while employed. He is currently enrolled postgraduate doctoral studies at the Faculty of Logistics of the University of Maribor.
His career began in the wood processing industry, in the development department at Gorenje GLIN. He started working at Pošta Slovenije, or PTT as it was called at the time, in 1993, first as a letter carrier, and later as a counter clerk and a delivery controller. He was the manager of a post office from 1998 to 2002, and then became the deputy head of the Ljubljana Business Unit. In 2008 he became a management consultant for logistics, and was soon appointed general manager of the Postal and Logistics Centre Ljubljana Business Unit. In 2009 he became the head of the Celje Business Unit, and in 2012 the management representative for economic affairs. He remained in this position until being appointed Deputy General Manager of Pošta Slovenije.
He is a member of the Manager Association and the Slovenian Logistics Association. He was appointed as a lecturer at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport of the University of Ljubljana, and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Logistics of the University of Maribor. He has participated in and contributed papers at numerous seminars in Slovenia and abroad. He has published several professional articles in the field of logistics.
His first five-year term of office as Deputy General Manager of Pošta Slovenije began on 12 August 2015.
Vinko Filipič, Member of Management
Vinko Filipič was born in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor and began his professional career in Pošta Slovenije in 1996. He started as postal operations specialist, continued as Head of the Marketing Section and later as the Marketing Division Director.
Apart from working at Pošta Slovenije, Vinko Filipič also gives lectures on Marketing at the Post, Economics and Telecommunications Vocational School in Ljubljana as well as on Marketing and Quality of Services at the Vocational College of Traffic and Transport in Maribor. He took part in several professional seminars both at home and abroad as participant, speaker and panellist. He is also the author of several professional articles in the field of marketing and fluently speaks English, German, Croatian and Serbian.
Vinko Filipič is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pošta Slovenije’s subsidiary EPPS d.o.o. and a member of the Poštna banka Slovenije (PBS d.d. – Nova KBM d.d. Banking Group) Supevisory Board Committee for Business Cooperation Promotion within the Group. He is also a member of the Slovenian Direct Marketing Association and the Slovenian Directors' Association (SDA). In addition, he was also Chairman of the Stamp Advisory Committee appointed by the competent Minister.
Vinko Filipič was first appointed Member of Management of Pošta Slovenije for a period of five years, responsible for the marketing in March 2007. On 23 January 2012 he was re-elected early this year for another five-year term, beginning 28 march 2012.
